Hi Reader,
We've been getting lots of questions about the Community Deep Dive program. Since we know if one person is wondering, chances are others have the same questions, we wanted to share the answers below!
What does the Curriculum Cover?
A partial list of material we will cover is:
What will I do in the Community Deep Dive program?
This is a brand new year-long intensive course with a fresh curriculum designed by Joe and Tara. Groups will meet twice a month and work with trained AOA facilitators. The program is designed to help you form a cohesive group dedicated to deeply integrating this work into your life. It starts with the Decisions Course and includes the Connection Course (many have found an even deeper flavor repeating this after having built more practice). It will also include Rapid Fire Coaching with Joe and additional support structures like facilitated Emotional Releases, listening circles, and partner practice.
What is the group size?
Groups will be of 10 to 12 people.
When is the program running?
The program will start on January 11, 2024 with the Decisions Course and run until December 15th, 2024.
What is the monthly time commitment?
The minimum commitment during the year will be 5 hours a month. The maximum commitment will be as deep as you want it to go!
Most weeks will be between 1 and 1.5 hours, 1.5-hour calls two times a month, and two times a month, you will do 1 hour of partner work. During the Decisions Course in January & February, expect 6-8 hours a week.
What live call times are available?
Calls will be two times a month. You can let us know in your application which times work best for you. For a full list of dates, CLICK HERE
Can I do this program in person?
While this is offered as an online program, if there is enough interest, one or more groups could meet in person in the Bay Area! Let us know your preference in the application and organize with your community. We want to support you in whichever way we can!
Can I pick my facilitator?
You can express your preference, but we can't guarantee that you’ll be assigned a specific facilitator as there are many variables we'll need to consider in forming the groups.
We can share that Mark Alexander, Janine Parziale, Brett Kistler, and Christy Tripp all offered to facilitate!
Can I pick who's in my group?
Yes! Share who you want to be grouped with in your application, and we will do everything possible to honor your requests!
When are the 1:1 partner work sessions happening?
Every month, you will be paired with a different participant from your group, and you will decide when to have your two sessions for the month.
What happens in the Self Run Listening Circles?
This will be a space run by the participants; you will self organize when to meet. It will be a time for each participant to share without any advice given. You will practice listening and being with people as they share.
When are the Emotional Release Popups?
Emotional Release Popups will be open to all Community Deep Dive participants and will be hosted by the Coaching Cohort every month. Times will vary to allow everyone to attend regardless of where they join from.
When are the Rapid Fire Coaching calls with Joe?
RFC sessions will be spread throughout the year. They will happen at different times and be scheduled months in advance. They will also be recorded for later viewing.
We hope these answers serve you. If you have any other questions, please reply to this email.
With Gratitude,
Team AOA
Hello everyone, It’s February, and we are approaching Valentine’s Day. Here in Northern California, many of the trees and bushes are bare and dormant. When the earth goes quiet, we celebrate love! What part of you comes up to be loved when you get quiet? What quiet moment can you use to practice loving yourself? Love, Tara Course Announcements Connection Course Applications open on February 5th! The Connection Course is a fundamental course in AOA that teaches you how to better connect with...
Hi everyone! What are you grateful for? I think of November as the month of gratitude and giving. With all the pain happening in the world right now, this has been much harder for me this year. I woke up this am with more heartbreaking news and decided to do a gratitude practice before getting out of bed. Here is what I felt myself grateful for this morning: Cold airMy daughter’s college application processMy familyLinen sheetsTearsMy clients, old and newMy time in Southern California...
Hi everyone! It’s autumn here in Northern California. The trees are putting on a firework display of color in preparation for dropping their leaves. I love this time of year. The natural world seems to beckon us to think about what no longer serves us, to celebrate it, and to drop it (with panache!). Many people come to us having been on a path of self-improvement. I view self-improvement a little bit differently. I don’t think you need to be ‘improved’. There is not some perfect you that you...
